Available 4th & 5th Grade Courses

Agnus Dei Junior Program (5th - 8th grade, middle school) offers courses in history, literature, science, math and Latin for home school students and home education programs. Under the spiritual direction of Father Stephen Torraco, chaplain to Regina Coeli Academy (RCA), home school students may also enroll in a year long Confirmation class as preparation for receiving the sacrament in a local parish. Many bishops have already accepted our course for Confirmation preparation and Father will assist families in obtaining such permission where necessary. Participation in the junior program not only prepares students academically for the rigorous RCA curriculum by affording a preview of various subjects in the classical liberal arts, but also minimizes the college prep student's adjustment to different teachers and teaching styles. Most importantly, participation in the Agnus Dei junior program affords students the opportunity to develop academic self-discipline through a home education curriculum that is designed specifically for the middle school student. Some of the Junior Program's courses carry partial high school credit; some carry full high school credit when additional work is requested.

Agnus Dei combines four internet applications, allowing home school students a complete and excellent learning experience from their own homes: Audio, Conferencing Software, Web Browser, and E-mail. Students interact live with other students and our highly qualified teachers during regularly scheduled meetings each week.

The idea for Regina Coeli Academy began in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1994 when our principal asked a friend, "Do you think anyone would be interested in learning Latin on the Internet?" In 1995 Regina Coeli Academy was formed and has grown to include enrolled parents and students on four continents: Africa, Europe, North and South America. The faculty has increased until the school is now able to offer a four-year track at the USA's secondary level and in some cases, advanced placement level, in history, literature, math, science, Greek... and Latin, of course. Agnus Dei Junior program was developed in 1997 for the purpose of preparing middle school home school students technologically and academically for the college preparatory program and currently offers courses in English, Latin, literature, science, mathematics, art and composition.
